The flowers my sisters and I got my mom for Mother's Day. I, according to tradition waiting until the last minute after several "its a fake holiday" rants before getting her anything. So the flowers were delivered a day late. Surprise!

Day Fifty-Eight - April 21
Shelby, Corwin and I were the only ones to show up for our last D&D. Instead, Corwin went back to work on his essay. Shelby and I decided to have sugar and thoughtless fun. So we got blizzards from DQ (half price) and rented 2012 (our dumb, thoughtless fun). Shelby after not thinking for a couple of hours in celebration of her last exam!

This would have been a nice picture of Centre Block had the bus and car not gone by precisely at the moment I was taking the picture. I had to get to the airport to fly back to Windsor so I didn't wait around to retake it. I had dinner with my brother-in-law at a pub right across the street from Parliament. I was in Ottawa for a job interview (which I got).

Day Forty-two -- April 5
Day Forty -- April 3
I didn't go home for Easter this year. My grandmother is an excellent baker and I usually fill up on her desserts. The day before, L & T and I discovered a bakery and I found some substitutes for my own Easter dinner. Well I didn't eat all of them on Easter. But its a good thing that we didn't know this place existed before!
Day Thirty-nine -- April 2
The fire alarm went off in my building. I managed to be on the third person out of the building despite living on the 8th floor and packing my laptop, textbook and wallet into my backpack. It was amusing watching all the people came out very slowly. Then we speculated on when and if the fire department was going to show up. The system malfunctioned, but the 40 minute response time didn't exactly instill confidence in me. And since the building is mostly law students we discussed the liabilities potential of the response time if it had been a real fire.

Warning for Elizabeth!
Day Thirty -- March 24
Had my first blood work of year 26 done that day.
And to my dear American friends, this is what happens when you have a single payer health care system: after going to the doctor that you choose, to the lab that you choose, for a bunch of tests, they use medical tape instead of a bandage! Medical tape! Oh, the horror! the horror!
